Domestic Violence - Part 2

We've got domestic violence living next door.

We on our block have called police after the
screams of a woman could be heard down
the street.. followed by broken glass. That
wasn't too long ago.I'm not sure where she
is now.If she has moved on or is back home.

Then last night,we could hear the abusive man
yelling and what sounded like hitting someone
and banging things. It is very hard to listen to.

The cries of the woman could not be heard
this time. But rather, the broken voice of a young
man who we believe may be his teenage son.

I went to bed feeling sick to my heart.

This world has too much violence and we all
need to find a way to help.Start at home with
your family.Friends.Keep communications open.
And diplomatic as you can.

I feel a little helpless today - so I write in hopes
that if you know someone living in fear and danger;
to somehow find a way to help them or call for help.

There is just no easy way to end this dark side of
humanity - but if all stand up for the rights to be safe
we can at least make a difference by being heard.
And not harmed.♥

There is much information online to offer support.
If you are in harms way - please remember to do
what you can to find safety.Protect your mission.
And never give up.Everyone deserves to live safely.

I would keep calling the police. The more they appear may perhaps help the woman to press charges. No one needs to live like that.

You did the right thing...and it's hard. I remember living in a very nice apartment in Oregon and our neighbors were violent, he specifically and it seemed like it was an act of god to get them out of the area, we called the cops what seemed like all them time, reported them to the management and eventually, one day she took the DV shelter information and she left. She did not come back and he eventually was evicted from the apartment...I hope and pray their paths never crossed again.
