Life is always full of reasons we hang on to the past. But it's often the
things we can never change that we hang onto the tightest. We grip the
loss of a loved one or changes we didn't see coming.Maybe we regret
not " knowing then - what we know now " ..It's all perfectly natural to
seek what we can learn. It's a matter of taking each experience for what
it was and only keeping what will help us learn.Heal.Grow.And cherish.
Letting go means we can look at the past without staring at it for too long.
Keeping our sights on today the new possibilities for ourselves and future.
This is one of the gifts to my recovery and healing journey. To my writing.
I have a paper trail to read back on and see how much I've accepted.
If you feel like you're stuck staring at your past.Feeling lost and unsure
how to move forward, simply look at yourself in the mirror.Ask yourself
what more do you want out of life.Out of today. It is the small steps that
truly add up to the bigger picture and what an empowering picture it can be.

amen on this...too many get stuck there and never move forward as life progresses
so great on this post, was a conversation i had with a professor the other day about staying stuck and how we seem to as a species at times be really really good at it, thankfully we can change.
